How are Peel and Reveal and Peel and Reseal built?

These labels are essentially self-adhesive (pressure-sensitive) labels sitting on top of another self-adhesive label. While both have superb tack, the top layer is equipped with a unique adhesive that comes away cleanly, allowing customers to peel the label back, see and read the printed information underneath, seal it back easily, again and again, without losing its integrity. For the Peel and Reseal, the top label is paired with a bottom label that has a stronger adhesive applied on it so that it anchors the entire label securely to your packaging. These labels can be joined on one side with a label “hinge” and peeled to reveal an additional label underneath.

Deciding between hinged or unhinged custom labels

When choosing these label solutions, an important thing to specify is whether to add a hinge to your multilayered labels or not. Hinged labels are connected at one point, keeping the custom label assembly intact and always joined to your container or packaging. An unhinged label, on the one hand, can be completely removed and separated from your container or packaging. The top label can still be re-sealed and “closed” however it is simply no longer attached to the bottom base label.
