ADD VALUE TO YOUR BRANDED PACKAGING
QUICK EXPERT TIPS FOR YOUR CUSTOM PRINTED TISSUE PAPER
SPRUCE UP PLAIN PRIMARY PACKAGING: On a budget? Using tissue paper with your logo, phone number, and website as your repeated pattern creates an easy marketing touchpoint that is an economical alternative while waiting to complete your marketing print set. The simple addition of branded tissue paper with these details work in the same way that both a protective bag and business card would—this is an excellent way to hit two birds with one stone. You can simply wrap your products in your branded tissue paper; even on plain principal packaging you are able to brand yourself professionally and effectively at a fraction of the cost. Custom printed tissue paper works perfectly with paper bags and custom mailing bags.
CONSIDER YOUR TISSUE PAPER COLOR ESPECIALLY WHEN PRINTING MULTIPLE COLOR ARTWORK: If you’re matching your tissue paper by choosing similar or complimentary colors and want colored tissue paper stock instead of white tissue paper stock, remember that this will change how colors develop on your custom printed tissue paper. As the “canvas” is not white, colors will print darker due to the tissue paper base color. Your artwork previously printed on white tissue paper will translate differently on brown kraft and on other various colored tissue paper stock—there is less contrast unless you adjust your color values. If it is your first press run, we suggest that you test color development first by doing an on press sample to see if the colors turn out accurately with the new colored stock.
Especially for new artwork previously printed on white packaging material (paper or plastic), whether it be a label, bag, or box, do an on press sample first for your custom printed tissue paper before committing to the whole press run. IMPORTANT ARTWORK TIPS
Please save your custom printed tissue paper artwork as layered .PDF files so that our Prepress Team can properly check and report any issues to you. We can certainly work with .TIFF, .EPS, .PSD, and .AI files as well, but kindly make sure that you go through our FILE PREPARATION CHECKLIST below:
- Proofread everything for typos and grammatical errors. To keep the integrity of your files, we do not check text.
- Set all your images, objects, and the file’s color mode to CMYK for digital printing.
- Add a 3mm bleed to all sides.
- All raster images recommended 350dpi
- Minimum line thickness .57pt or 0.2mm
- Do not include printer’s crop marks or registration marks in your PDF export.
- Outline all fonts.
- If you use a bleed, make sure your file has the correct bleed settings.
NOTE: Light ink colors on standard white tissue paper may look lighter due to transparency. Color inks on colored tissue stock may shift due to color-on-color interactions, but we will do our best to match.
