  • Preferred File Type: Layered .PDF: This allows our team to easily check and report any potential issues. (We can also work with .TIFF, .EPS, .PSD, and .AI files – just pay extra attention to the points below.)
  • Text Accuracy is Key: Please proofread all text for typos and grammatical errors. We want your message to be perfect, and we don’t alter your original text files.
  • CMYK for Vivid Prints: Set your images, objects, and overall file color mode to CMYK. This is essential for vibrant digital printing.
  • Add a 3mm Bleed: Crucial for professional-looking edges, remember to add a 3mm bleed on all sides.
  • High-Resolution Images: For crisp, clear custom embossed labels, ensure all raster images are at least 350dpi.
  • Visible Lines: Your lines should be a minimum of .57pt or 0.2mm thick to print clearly.

HOW TO SUBMIT ARTWORK FOR EMBOSSING

To prep your file correctly for embossing, follow these steps:

  • Create a new artboard in your design file and label it “Emboss.”
  • Copy only the design elements you want embossed (e.g. logos, text, patterns) onto this artboard.
  • Convert those elements into solid vector shapes—no strokes, outlines, or gradients.
  • Fill them with 100% black (100K) to indicate where the raised texture should be applied.
  • Do not include anything else on this artboard—just the emboss areas in solid black.
  • Save and send this along with your main label artwork.
