Choose from a variety of our standard pressure-sensitive and self-adhesive paper (coated and uncoated), plastic film (white BOPP), clear PVC, foil (PET and metalized paper options), and kraft label stocks for your unique requirements. When choosing your label stock it’s important to consider the regular use and environment of your products.
 

Your packaging dictates what label material you should use. Also keep in mind that your lotion formulations contain oil and water. Because of this, uncoated labels will do best as external box labels instead of prime labels, to guarantee that labels won’t crumble over time. FLEXIBILITY IS KEY IN BOTH MATERIAL AND PERFORMANCE: Most lotion products come in tubes that need to be frequently squeezed to dispense the product. Apart from this, lotions are brought to various places such as bathrooms and in toiletry bags. These environments will subject your labels to constant friction and moisture/water, as well as oil coming from the lotion itself. Choose white plastic film stock as it is suited for rigid lotion bottles and jars as well as squeezable lotion bottles and tubes. With the addition of our stronger adhesive this will guarantee that your labels stay perfectly positioned on their containers for longer. This is especially valuable for curved surfaces/rounded bottles. Flexible, tear-proof, and impervious to water and oil, it also has a beautiful pearlescent milky white color which develop vibrant prints with high contrast.
 

MASSAGE MORE INFORMATION IN BY ANNEXING YOUR BASIC LOTION LABELS WITH EXTENDED CONTENT SOLUTIONS: Too much text shouldn’t cramp your style. Sometimes, a custom lotion label’s readability and format are sacrificed because you absolutely need to include information that you feel is vital in extending your brand’s experience. Don’t overwhelm your labels by cramming in too much information, Inkable Label Co.’s extended content solutions will help make labeling smarter, more put together, and more efficient.
 

MAKE COLOR MATCHING LESS COMPLICATED: If you find it too troublesome to identify the right (ink) color values for your label background to blend onto your lotion container, use clear PVC film instead. With opaque material such as white plastic film and paper, there can be slight color variations, especially if you factor in laminate. The same color values on your label design, with gloss laminate, will develop more vivid colors due to its light reflectivity. Matte laminate, despite using the exact same color values, will develop softer and darker colors since it doesn’t reflect a lot of light. Clear film on a colored opaque container will solve your color-matching blues—just make sure to add white ink under areas that have prints to make sure that colors develop accurately.
 

If your lotion container is an opaque white, this will already act as the white ink that must go under any printed areas. If this is the case, you won’t need to setup a separate artboard for the white ink as prints will develop the correct color and will have the right contrast.

IMPORTANT ARTWORK TIPS

Please save your custom lotion label artwork as layered .PDF files so that our Prepress Team can properly check and report any issues to you. We can certainly work with .TIFF, .EPS, .PSD, and .AI files as well, but kindly make sure that you go through our FILE PREPARATION CHECKLIST below:
 

  • Proofread everything for typos and grammatical errors. To keep the integrity of your files, we do not check text.
  • Set all your images, objects, and the file’s color mode to CMYK for digital printing.
  • Add a 3mm bleed to all sides.
  • All raster images recommended 350dpi
  • Minimum line thickness .57pt or 0.2mm
  • We print lotion labels to any size. Please double check artwork dimensions before sending to save on proofing time.
  • Do not include printer’s crop marks or registration marks in your PDF export.
  • Outline all fonts.
  • If you use a bleed, make sure your file has the correct bleed settings.
